Bilingual Internship opportunity available in St. Louis, MO for a finance, economics, accounting or business student to work 15-20 hours per week for a minimum of 2 semesters. As an Asia Pacific Intern at Scottrade, you will assist in processing international account application paperwork, making lead calls, new account data entry and other basic customer services. You will learn about aspects of the online brokerage business, working closely with experienced stockbrokers to complete general administrative and operational duties, as well as special projects as needed. As part of your internship, you will also have the opportunity to interact with clients over the phone.

Required Skills:

* Quick and accurate data entry and typing skills, both English and Chinese (Mandarin).
* Excellent attention to details.
* Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
* Ability to use multi-line phone system.
* Ability to follow instructions.
* Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Foster company success through a professional appearance, being courteous to customers and all Scottrade associates and by having a positive attitude.
* Must be bi-lingual: able to speak, read, and write in English and Mandarin required, Cantonese as well a plus.

Responsibilities:

* Service and maintain client accounts.
* Follow up on pending account transfers.
* Accept customer checks, stock certificates, and other paperwork.
* Check all new account information for accuracy before scanning.
* General administrative and operational duties.
* Interact with clients in-person and over the phone.

Experience:

* Strong interest in finance and the stock market.
* 1-2 years customer service experience preferred.
* Fluency in Spanish (read, write, and speak) is a plus

Education:

* Must be a currently enrolled as a full-time student attending a local University.
* Undergraduate students with a finance, economics or business field of study are highly preferred.
